Druskininkai will welcome a major new cultural venue on 12 December 2026, when the Druskininkai Culture and Congress Palace officially opens its doors. The new palace brings concert, theatre, cinema and conference facilities together in one modern complex, adding an important year-round attraction to the resort.

The opening date was confirmed by Druskininkai Municipality following a meeting with the building contractor and the venue operator. The detailed opening programme and ticket information are expected to be announced separately. Visitors planning to attend should therefore check the official municipal and event channels before travelling.
A new stage for Druskininkai
Druskininkai is already known for its spas, forests, festivals and cultural heritage. The new palace gives the town a purpose-built venue capable of hosting larger productions and professional conferences throughout the year—not only during the busiest holiday periods.
The complex includes:
- a 1,175-seat main auditorium for concerts, theatre and major events;
- a 513-seat smaller hall for performances and conferences;
- a 151-seat cinema, planned to be operated by Forum Cinemas;
- a gallery and rehearsal rooms;
- a rooftop terrace intended for chamber events and smaller gatherings.
The operator’s agreement anticipates at least 100 concerts, performances, conferences and other events each year, together with at least 500 cinema screenings. If that programme develops as planned, the palace should make it much easier to combine a spa or nature break in Druskininkai with an evening of culture.
Where is the new Culture and Congress Palace?
The palace is at T. Kosciuškos g. 2, Druskininkai, near the Nemunas river and the central resort area. It was developed on the site associated with the former Nemunas sanatorium concert hall.
The location makes it convenient to combine an event with a walk through central Druskininkai, dinner in town or a visit to other nearby attractions. Guests staying at Domi Lini can plan their route in advance and allow additional time on opening weekend, when the area is likely to be busy.
Why the opening matters
The approximately €12 million construction-completion project gives Druskininkai an indoor venue with the capacity and acoustics needed for nationally significant events. It should also strengthen the resort’s conference offering and make cultural weekends more attractive outside the traditional summer season.
The palace complements smaller creative venues such as Lelija Cultural Space and Menų Kalvė. Together, these places broaden the cultural experience available to visitors: from workshops and exhibitions to large concerts and stage productions.
What we know about the opening
The confirmed opening date is Saturday, 12 December 2026. Druskininkai Municipality has said that an opening celebration is being prepared and that ticket distribution will begin soon. At the time of writing, however, performers, the full timetable, ticket prices and the official ticket link have not yet been published.
We will update this guide when the official programme becomes available. If you are planning a December visit, it is sensible to reserve accommodation early and wait for the official ticket announcement before making plans around a specific performance.
